CT, or computed tomography, scans are a medical imaging technique that uses multiple X-rays alongside advanced computers to create cross-sectional images (slices). The term “slice” refers to each individual image. Our team of experts merge each slice using advanced software to create multi-level views of your body.

What to Expect During Your CT Scan
A CT (computed tomography) scan is a quick, noninvasive imaging test that helps healthcare providers see detailed pictures of the inside of the body. During the scan, you’ll lie still on a motorized table that gently moves through a donut-shaped machine. The scan itself is painless and usually takes only a few minutes, though the full appointment may last longer for preparation. In some cases, a contrast dye may be used to highlight certain tissues or blood vessels; this can be given by mouth or through an IV and may cause a brief warm sensation or metallic taste.
